Summer School

From Past to Practice: The Fracture & Flow of Glasses

In addition to the workshop, a two-day summer school will be organized on the fundamental knowledge needed for the workshop.

The school will take place from May 23 to May 24, 2027, and and will be hosted in the same place as the workshop.

The school will cover amorphous materials in general and willl adress the following topics:

• General description of structure and network
• Linear and non-linear elasticity, viscoelasticity and flow
• Overview of fracture mechanics concepts
• Linking plasticity, friction and fracture to glass structure and topology

This school is intended for young researchers and is limited to 50 participants.
